Coffee Beans

So coffee has become quite a trend, why couldn't textiles made out of coffee be? Well coffee beans could be used in ways which go beyond your imaganition. Starting with textiles.

Coffee beans can actually be transformed into fibres by using a technology, with a low-temperature, high-pressure and energy saving process, which combines coffee grounds onto the yarn surface, changing the characteristics of the filament, and offers up to 200% faster drying time compared to cotton. Also, the coffee grounds absorb odors and reflect UV rays all the time!

Some features of the Coffee beans are
  • The coffee grounds absorb odors your body produces throughout the day.
  • Most important, it continually moves moisture away from the skin to the outer surface of the fabric for faster drying process. Moisture transfers from your skin to the outer layer of the fabric where it spreads across the surface area to lower the duration of the drying process
  • The coffee grounds come with numerous microscopic pores, which create a long-lasting natural and chemical free shield for yarn or fiber, reflecting UV rays and provide a comfortable outdoor experience.
  • This sustainable yarn is able to cool down the temperature of our skin about 1 to 20 C compared to common fabrics.
